Applying Snaps;
Step Two A:
Make sure you have transferred all snap placement markings to your nappy - if
you have a pattern that is cut on the fold don't forget the other wing.

You will need reinforcing strips under the socket snaps, usually cut
from scraps of microfleece, but pul scraps work as well. To estimate
the size scrap needed lie your fabric against the snap placement markings
on the pattern, you should cut your scraps so there is about 1.5cm excess,
you can always trim this back later if you over estimate.

You will need 4 strips of equal size for the reinforcing if the pattern
has two rows of snaps, or 2 strips if it only has one row.

Place the reinforcing strip on the shiny side of the pul (the wrong
or inner side) so it lines up along the snap placement row.
Put your socket snap in the press (see Greenbeans
snap instructions if you don't know how to use your snap press) and
line the cap up on the microfleece scrap and a snap placement mark.
You
should be able to tell where the cap is by the dent it makes through
the fabric.

Place the cap in the bottom of the snap press, adjusting till if fits in
snugly, but still keeping it lined up with the placement mark, and
apply a
firm even pressure.

You should have a socket showing on the right side of your pul now, continue
until you have placed all your sockets on their placement marks.
