Four Adjustable Rise Nappy Methods Tutorial;

This tutorial is designed to allow you to adjust any nappy pattern to have an adjustable leg elastic and rise. Using your own favourite pattern, you can change the way the leg elastic is sewn and make the nappy fit for longer. with a choice of four different methods you should be able to alter any style of existing pocket nappy, and even remove and replace the elastic from premade nappies. The four methods include -

A/ A lycra gusset style which can be applied to any nappy, including replacing existing elastic.
B/ A Pul gusset style which creates a waterproof gusset.
C/ A casing style for those who prefer top stitched style leg casings.
D/ A frilled leg style with the elastic placed within the nappy body not on the leg seam allowance.

The pattern tutorial has 8 pages of instructions including diagrams to show you how to sew up the adjustable leg elastic. This pattern has a difficulty rating of easy to medium and would be best attempted by someone who has sewn previously, but should be able to be followed by someone who hasn't sewn a nappy before as long as they have a working knowledge of sewing in general.

The pattern comes either in printable PDF format or if you don't have access to a printer then you can request a printed copy which will cost an extra $3 to cover the cost of printing and postage.
